Kevin represents the Fountainbridge / Craiglockhart ward, which covers Fountainbridge, North Merchiston, Greenbank Village, Chesser, Slateford, Kingsknowe, Craiglockhart, and Craiglockhart Dells.

An environmental campaigner, Kevin spent a career tackling pollution issues in the water industry. He is now fighting for protection of local greenspaces, investment in schools, and fixing Edinburgh's pavements and roads.

In June 2025, Kevin won the Fountainbridge / Craiglockhart by-election.
