Stop sewage dumping in the Water of Leith

Our natrual environment is precious.

An unknown quantity of sewage is being dumped into the Water of Leith every year.

There are plans to install some monitors by the end of 2024 just so we can see the scale of the problem, before being able to tackle it.

The Edinburgh Liberal Democrats have been working hard to get more transparency on the scale of the problem, and push for solutions such as at edinburghlibdems.org/news/article/caldwell-calls-to-stop-sewage-in-the-water-of-leith.

PETITION: Stop dumping sewage in the Water of Leith

We the undersigned call on the Scottish Government to commit funding to stop the practice of CSO dumping and Scottish Water to install more monitors as a matter of priority.

We will keep you up to date by email.
