About Christine

Christine was elected the Member of Parliament for Edinburgh West in 2017, re-elected again in 2019 and for a historic third time in 2024.

Before Parliament, Christine was a broadcast journalist with the BBC and taught journalism at the University of Strathclyde.

Since being elected, she has campaigned on air quality, pension equality for WASPI women, medicinal cannabis, refugees' right to work and the cost of living.

Christine has called on the Government to consider a proposal to record the number of children affected by bereavement.
