Councillor Jack Caldwell continues to pursue resolutions to some of the biggest issues since the redesign associated with the new tramline between 2019 - 2022.

The City of Edinburgh Council has drawn up a snagging list and published the numbers at https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/tramstonewhaven. As of writing, it shows 58 “red” scored issues have been rectified, and 71 “red” issues remain open.

There are a total of 886 issues identified by the Council.

Councillor Caldwell has seperately been tracking 82 outstanding issues, including the above paving stones, which have now been fixed!

Additionally, he is following up with Council Officers and Engineers regarding some of the key asks he won cross party support for at the Transport and Environment committee over the last 3 years, including trying to get more trees, and the narrowest pavements widened.

Work paused on a lot of these issues, including the changes to Elm Row's cycle lane and Brunswick Street access due to the Summer works embargo.

Lastly, the four local (volunteer-led) Community Councils continue to play a vital part in the scrutiny and liaision of the defects list, and have posted an update from their meeting at the end of May.
