Water of Leith Flooding - Stockbridge

28 Feb 2023

Residents in the Stockbridge Colonies and in Warriston Crescent raised a number of concerns following the severe flood event on 30th December last year.

Issues have been raised with management of the Water of Leith Flood Defences and how information was relayed to affected residents. Those living in the area depend upon the flood defences to prevent their homes from flooding.

Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler sais, “I am very grateful for the level of engagement with residents and I fully appreciate the concerns raised. Some recent communication with officers has resulted in better information made available on the Council website.

"We also had a meeting with officers and residents to discuss the matter and I am hopeful this will help going forward”.
