Treat Edinburgh Fairly on £2 Bus Cap!

Local Lib Dems have demanded that the new Scottish Government treat Edinburgh fairly on £2 bus fare cap roll out.

The SNP promised in the election to introduce a new £2 cap on single bus fares across Scotland. However, the First Minister has said areas such as Glasgow and parts of Lanarkshire would be prioritised.

Local Lib Dem councillor, Ed Thornley said, “There is simply no reason why local people here in Edinburgh should be disadvantaged. The SNP promised a nationwide roll out of £2 bus fares and we are determined to hold them to that promise.

“Edinburgh bus passengers deserve the same costs as everywhere else."
