Torwood Path works finally underway!

After a three-year campaign, work has finally begun to upgrade the path behind Torwood Crescent. 

The work will see lighting installed, the path resurfaced fully and adopted for maintenance by the Council. 

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "I'm really glad to see this finally getting going. It's taken three years to get here, but it'll make such a difference once it's done. 

"So many residents have been in touch to tell me how dangerous the unlit, poorly maintained path was, but how they had no choice but to use it to get home. A dreadful surface, exposed wires and abandoned rubble all made it even more desperately in need of being fixed.

“Once this upgrade work is completed, the Council will be adopting it for maintenance, so it should never be allowed to get to such a poor state again.”
