The renovation of the tennis courts in St Margaret's Park has now been completed and the courts are open again to the public.

Local Lib Dem councillor Fiona Bennett said, " We are delighted that the courts are now open to the public and have been brought back to life after extensive work."

Tennis players of all levels will be able to benefit from the four courts and in addition, will be guaranteed a game with the use of the Lawn Tennis Association's own booking system.

This will manage access to the courts with booking in advance for a small fee of £1, ensuring that no one turns up and is prevented from having a game; the money will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of the court.

The ClubSpark bookings page for St Margaret’s Park has gone live and all those that have registered to use the tennis courts will be contacted.

Fiona added, "This is a very welcome addition to the community, and we hope will encourage everyone to make use of the facility no matter what age or level of ability they have. Please do get in touch if you have any questions on this."
