South Groathill Avenue Road Closure

Many residents have been in touch about the closure of South Groathill Avenue for the laying of new electricity cables and in particular to the knock on impact to accessing and leaving Craigleith Retail Park by car or bus.

Hal Osler says “I quite understand the frustration of residents as there has been a huge amount of works in the surrounding area from various different utility companies in the last year or so, all of which have had a detrimental impact on the wider area. The works are due to conclude around the beginning/middle of October and in the meantime, officers are keeping in close communication with SPEN to see if it could be done any quicker.”
