There have been media reports about sectarian chanting at a recent football game at Easter Road.

Councillor Jack Caldwell asked the Council Leader on Thursday what action he's taking after sectarian chants at the last Rangers vs. Hibs match at Easter Road on Sunday March 10th.

The Council leader has pledged to work with Council departments, the police and and Hibernian FC to back zero tolerance and try stop a repeat affecting football fans and neighbours again.

The Lib Dems have also followed up with the Council's Public Safety department. Cllr Caldwell said "It's vital that a minority of attendees don't ruin the game for football fans and nearby neighbours who could hear this. Hate has no place in football and no place in Edinburgh".
