School to Stay Put for Fox Covert Campus Rebuild

The Council has confirmed that, when work to replace the main building at the Fox Covert campus begins, the school will not be decamped and will remain on site. 

Concerns had been raised in the community that the school could have been temporarily set up on a site such as Drum Brae Park, but it has now been confirmed that will not happen. 

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “I’m glad to hear the decision has been made to minimise wider disruption by keeping the school on site. I know that will present challenges for both the school community and the replacement work, but on the whole this should bring less disruption to the entire community.”

The replacement works will now progress to detailed design stages, and there will be engagement with the school community in due course.
