Road Safety Update - August 2023

One of the biggest concerns of those who contact us is road safety.

We meet regularly with the Road Safety Team to push for progress in the many parts of the Ward that require improvement.

This includes roads such as Ellersley Road which have recorded speeds as high as 60mph.

Local Lib Dem councillor Alan Beal said, "Because of the slow progress here, we’ve even asked questions at Council to elicit a commitment from the administration.

"We are still seeing & hearing issues about traffic build up at the Roseburn Street/ Russell Road, and of speeding traffic on Balgreen Road.

"We’re told that the final uncompleted CCWEL works in Roseburn will be completed very soon! Please let us know if you are concerned about any other road safety issues."
