Road resurface plans fail to tackle local roads

The Council has published its list of proposed road and pavement works for the coming year, including streets across Forth ward.

A small number of local roads are being prioritised with surface treatments in progress or planned:

• Resurfacing of Derby Street, Newhaven Road, Park Road and Stanley Road;
• Surface treatment of East Trinity Road, Laverockbank Road and Boswall Green;
• Footway surface treatment on Boswall Drive.

However, it is extremely disappointing that some of the worst surfaces and pavements are not on the list for repairs this year, with the Bangholm and Grierson areas having some of the worst potholes in the area.
