While there has been some progress lately in addressing long-running problems with road surfaces and marking in Parkgrove – with Parkgrove Street markings being repainted and several pavements being repaired – there are still many places which need to be tackled.

Local Lib Dem councillor Robert Aldridge said, “Ed and I working hard to get many of these issues addressed. For example, the Keep Clear markings at exit of Parkgrove Street onto Queensferry Road, , which are almost completely worn away, or the pavements on Clermiston Avenue.

Ed Thornley added, “While the Lib Dem budget secured £11 million extra for fixing roads, paths and pavements, this was only for this year. More money will need to be found in the long term to properly bring our roads and pavements up to standard.

“Until then, we’ll keep pressing for roads in Clermiston and Parkgrove to get the improvements needed.”
