Road Closures in Stockbridge Area

Several residents have been in touch frustrated by the number of roadworks in the Stockbridge/Comely Bank area and the impact it is having on bus journeys and general access through the area. 

Hamilton Place had to be temporarily closed to traffic due to some issues with access to a leaking gas pipe but that should hopefully be reopened in the next week or so. Comely Bank Avenue and East Fettes Avenue remain closed as the junction upgrade continues this is due to complete by the end of May.

Unfortunately, due to the many utility upgrades/repairs and also planned improvements the Council wants to bring forward to improve the pedestrian experience sometimes these things crash into each other, thank you for your continuing patience.”
