Residents call for filter at Drum Brae Lights

The new lights at the junction of Drum Brae and Drum Brae Drive have now been in place for a few months, and it’s become clear which elements are and are not working.

While the view from many in the community has been positive, there are concerns about parking, property access and the lack of a filter for turning right inot Drum Brae Drive.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “We’ve been assured that the double yellow line extensions are coming, and are working their way through the legal process now.

“We’ve also requested that Council officers look into installing a filter for traffic turning right into Drum Brae Drive. If there’s a change to the set up which could alleviate problems, it should at least be explored - and many residents have been clear that they believe this would help.”
