Pride in Our City team reaches Drum Brae/Gyle

The Council's 'Pride in Our City' team, which is working it's way round the city to clean up our streets, spent January working on several parts of Drum Brae/Gyle. 

The cleaning consisted of; weed removal, dog fouling removal, litter picking, collecting any discarded needles, clearing flytipping and reporting graffiti.

Across Drum Brae/Gyle, the following streets were cleaned; 

Barntongate Avenue, Clermiston Gardens, Clermiston Green, Craigmount Avenue, Craigmount Avenue North, Craigmount Brae, Craigmount View, Craigmount Way, Craigs Crescent, Craigs Drive, Craigs Road, Dechmont Road, Dochart Drive, Drum Brae Avenue, Drum Brae Gardens, Drum Brae North, Drum Brae Terrace, Drum Brae Neuk, Drum Brae Park, Drum Brae South, Duart Crescent, Forrester Park Gardens, Forrester Park Grove, Forrester Park Loan, Glenure Loan, Hoseason Gardens, North Bughtlinside, North Gyle Loan, North Gyle Park, Parkgrove Crescent, Parkgrove Drive, Parkgrove Loan, Parkgrove Terrace, South Gyle Gardens, Stuart Crescent.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "I'm really glad that the team has made it to our part of the city - and I'm told they removed 17 tonnes of waste and debris from the streets they cleaned.

“There are of course plenty of streets that the team did not visit this time round, so if there is a particular issue on a street near you that needs clearing, please do get in touch.”
