PIP to Adult Disability Payment Transfer

The transfer of PIP to Adult Disability Payment by Social Security Scotland has begun, but there have been cases of people being required to undergo an assessment despite having a long term or chronic condition from which there is no medical chance of recovery or improvement in ability.

"This was not supposed to happen, and parliamentarians like myself were given repeated assurances by ministers that the Scottish system would not see people suffer the indignity of having to be reassessed to qualify for payments if their condition was life-long or life-limiting.
