Parkgrove Drive resurfaced at last!

5 Aug 2025

After years of campaigning Parkgrove Drive has finally been resurfaced, with road safety measures to tackle rat-running still to come.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “I’m delighted this has finally been done. The biggest issue residents raise with me is road repairs, and the road mentioned most has always been Parkgrove Drive.

“This has been a long time coming. From presenting a cross-party motion to the Transport committee, through to petitions, surveys and committee amendments, we have been pushing hard for the Council to finally listen to residents and get this very basic service right. I’m so glad it has finally happened.

“There’s still work to be done to make Parkgrove Drive safer for children going to school at Clermiston, but with funding secured this year to tackle rat-running and make road safety improvements, hopefully this will begin soon.”
