Councillors in North Gyle

The ‘mini flood study’ secured for North Gyle is now moving ahead, and engagement with the North Gyle Flood Group has begun.

Residents formed the group to organise their efforts to raise the profile of the problem with the Council and Scottish Water and have so far made huge strides forward in getting the flooding issues the attention they deserve.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “It’s been a real pleasure working with the group to push this forward, and I look forward to seeing the results of the flood study.

“The study is thanks to the persistence of the Flood Group and funding secured by the Lib Dem team, and is an important first step.

“We’ll continue making the case that this needs to be an ongoing priority for the Council.”
