Murrayfield Place Bin Hub

Residents have been in touch concerned about the communal waste bins being moved from Coltbridge Terrace to the junction of Murrayfield Place and Avenue. A site visit was arranged with the Project Manager, residents and Murrayfield Community Council - Alan attended this too.

At present however, the Council have been clear that the bin hub will be installed at the junction of Murrayfield Place and Avenue.

Local Lib Dem councillor Fiona Bennett said, “We asked what consultation there had been with residents about this, and apparently there was consultation in 2019, but engagement with it was quite low.

“We absolutely understand residents’ concerns however and have established that the Community Council could appeal to the Council to consider another location. That doesn’t mean the Council will move it, but it is one remaining option.

“Alan, Euan and I are keen to hear from more affected residents on this and urge anyone with concerns to get in touch.”
