Anyone who has recently walked from Dean Village down to Stockbridge hopefully will have noticed the recently-repaired viewing area just off Miller Row, overlooking the Water of Leith.

Lib Dem Councillor Hal Osler says “This work has been a long time in the planning and I am delighted that finally the work has been completed.

"The new surface is not only more accessible for all but it is also porous to help with heavy rain and flooding. If you have not been along to see the viewing area, I would recommend it.”
