Low Traffic Neighbourhood Update

4 Jul 2023

Following calls from among the Corstorphine community for action to be taken in relation to the new Low Traffic Neighbourhood and associated roads changes, a public meeting was organised by residents and held in St Margaret's Park.

With a significant turnout, the meeting was attended by local people, business owners, carers and other impacted by the changes.

Local councillors and MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton were also present to listen to the concerns raised by residents.

Local Lib Dem councillor Fiona Bennett said, "Though the meeting wasn't organised by the Liberal Democrats, we felt it was extremely important that we were there to listen to the community and hear about the impact the changes are having.

"Alan, Euan and I have conducted our own survey on the subject, and been out speaking to residents. We will take all of this feedback, plus the meeting and those who have contacted us by email and phone, and use it to inform how we move forward.

"In the meantime, please do take part in the wider consultation being run by the Council. You can give your views by emailing Edinburgh.Consultation@ProjectCentre.co.uk".
