Leith Walk bus shelters update

Residents have been awaiting the remaining bus shelters to be installed on Leith Walk and Elm Row after the installations at Shrubhill.

There are six locations where shelters are still to be installed:

• Pilrig junction northbound (outside St Columba's charity shop)
• Orchardfield northbound (outside Volunteer Centre)
• Jane Street northbound (outside Candersons sweet shop)
• Foot of the Walk southbound
• Iona Street southbound (slightly larger shelter will be set back near the trees)
• Elm Row southbound (for 7, 14 and 49)

Due to the length of time this installation has taken, Councillor Jack Caldwell has been pushing for a faster timescale. They will be installed in February 2024.
