Keeping Edinburgh West Safe

Following a small number of incidents across the constituency, Christine met with local Police Scotland officers to discuss the concerns raised by residents and hear about the work being done to keep communities safe.

Christine is in the process of setting up monthly meetings with local police so that she can regularly raise constituents’ concerns, discuss emerging issues and ensure there is a direct line of communication with officers.

She said, “Edinburgh West remains a safe place to live, but I know that even isolated incidents can understandably cause concern in our communities.

“I want residents to know that their concerns are being heard and that I am working closely with local police to make sure any issues are addressed.

“That is why I have established monthly meetings with local officers, giving me the opportunity to raise concerns directly and stay informed about what is happening across the constituency.”
