Jardine calls for more Ukraine support

Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine has hosted an event bringing together Scottish and Ukrainian partners, including the Scottish Government, to highlight the experiences of families behind Ukraine’s defenders.

Alongside Scottish Government Minister for Europe, External Affairs and Energy Stephen Gethins MSP, guests heard the personal stories of wives and partners of those fighting.

Christine Jardine MP said: “I was delighted to bring Scottish and Ukrainian partners together in Edinburgh to recognise their resilience and strengthen our support for Ukraine.”

“As Ukraine faces an intensification of Russian attacks, Scotland continues to stand firm alongside Ukraine. Behind every defender is a family living with the realities of separation, uncertainty, and war.

“Their stories deserve to be heard, and we need to do all we can to ensure peace can return and families are kept together.”
