Investment in Flood Protection

On Thursday 23rd February 2023, Edinburgh City Council passed the Liberal Democrat budget that provided for (amongst other things) substantial additional investment in flood protection measures.
Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler said, “Having finally got monies agreed for flooding it was really important to make sure that action was taken forward on this. I brought a motion to the first Full Council after the Budget asking for an officers’ report by this summer, setting out options how this money could be best spent to alleviate flooding concerns within the City.
"I know how badly flooding concerns impact many within the City and I will continue to do all that I can to try to help.”
