Gorgie Farm and King's Theatre

Even though it is just outside the Ward, lots of residents have been in touch regarding the future of Gorgie Farm. We too were really concerned when we heard that LOVE Gorgie Farm was pulling out of the site. The farm is such a fantastic resource for the whole city and has given so many people wonderful experiences since it opened in 1982.  Councillors recently met with LOVE and other interested parties, and there is hope that the facility will be retained in the long term.  

In a similar vein, the Kings Theatre is also threatened with closure if £3.5m isn’t raised soon. Having been there many times, we really do not want to lose another cherished cultural city icon, and we are working to find a resolution to this.
