After residents raised concerns, Lib Dem Leith Walk Councillor Jack Caldwell has liaised with the Council to get action on several points. The Council has recently;

  • Replaced the bus stop opposite the industrial estate, after a motor vehicle incident which wrecked the previous shelter and signage.
  • Laid down new markings in the middle of the road.
  • Worked with a utility company to fix a sunken cover, making loud noise, at Bonnington Toll.

Councillor Caldwell is also pushing for

  • Graffiti removal on several bus shelters on Bonnington Road and Pilrig Street.
  • A solution to the overflowing communal bins at one location.

Councillor Caldwell said “Bonnington Road is one of many streets we're pushing for improvements on. If you have an issue, please don't hesiate to get in touch”.
