Work to resurface the path behind Fauldburn Park has finally been completed, with the more damaged sections getting more substantial work.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "This resurfacing has been a long time coming - I first raised it with the Council nearly three years ago - but I'm so glad it's finally completed.

"So many residents had been in touch with me over that time, explaining how they couldn't get wheelchairs and pushchairs along the path. Hopefully it will be much more accessible going forward.

“We are aware though, that there are many other areas of the East Craigs path network that need similar work. For instance, the path running from Craigmount High towards Bughtlin Market is in a really poor state and was raised with me at the most recent Community Council meeting. I've requested it be repairs and will be pushing for it to be fixed.”
