Fauldburn Park path finally to be resurfaced

The badly damaged path running between Fauldburn Park and Maybury Road is now finally going to be resurfaced.

The path forms part of a contract which will start from 1st April. However, the contract covers lots of paths and footways across the city, so we do not have an exact start date for work on the path at Fauldburn.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "So many residents have been in touch with me about this stretch of path, to raise their concerns about how badly damaged it is. 

"I've heard from people who cannot get wheelchairs or prams down the pathway, and people who have tripped o the raised areas, or slipped and fallen in the mud that collects in the sunken sections. 

“I met on site with a Council officer in September, to show them how bad the path had become, and it's great to see that this was listened to and we'll finally be getting the repair here that is so desperately needed.”
