Edinburgh University Liberal Association

The Edinburgh University Liberal Association, re-founded this year, has had its first AGM. Artie Khovanov, who is the youth representative in the South Edinburgh Liberal Democrats as well as Vice-Convenor of the Scottish Young Liberals, was elected President. Anton Buchholdt (right) and Ivan Jackson were elected Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. Congratulations to them all!

The Liberal Association has already run several highly successful events, including one where Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton came to speak about supporting Ukraine. Artie has also taken the fight to the other political societies' presidents at a Question Time style debate, which was hosted by the student-run politics podcast Backbench.
