One of the issues residents are raising most with Alex at the moment is the state of housing, particularly damp and mould.

Alex said, "I have been very concerned to hear from the extent of this problem from constituents including the serious harm it has been causing to people's physical and mental health.

"That is why I raised these issues in a debate earlier this month, urging the government to act decisively and quickly. I repeated Liberal Democrat calls for an emergency insulation programme, that would see the most vulnerable given urgent help.

"This is an issue of the utmost importance to me which I also why I am holding a housing summit in parliament at the end of May with key stakeholders such as MSPs, MPs, housing organisations and charities."
