Dalmeny Street new pavements

Starting next week, both sides of Dalmeny Street will be getting a resurfaced pavement - for the full length between Easter Road and Leith Walk.

Residents have also reported reckless driving along the street, and the local traffic Police have been made aware. Cllr Caldwell's also in discussions with the Road Safety team on how we can calm traffic along there and make pedestrian crossings easier.

Lastly, Cllr Caldwell is following up with the Trams Project regarding the challenges we're seeing with the continuous footway where pedestrians have right of way, including repairing the paving stones. I urge anyone who has experienced a traffic issue on there to email the details to newhaven.tram@edinburgh.gov.uk so they can log it to their risk register and assess.
