Dalmeny Street / Easter Road junction issues

28 Jul 2023

The junction on Easter Road and Dalmeny Street has been problematic for pedestrians for many years.

Last year Councillor Caldwell requested an audit into the junction due to the poor conditions for pedestrians paired with the amount of crashes that have happened there. He's am hoping next month it's made the list for citywide junction upgrades and until then and will continue pressing for it to be on there. The map highlights just 2020 and 2021 incidents, and there's been 3 more this summer alone.

In the meantime, Road Safety Officers have granted his request for 20mph repeater signs on Dalmeny Street and have installed two lit give-way signs.
