Edinburgh Council recently ran a survey about how to improve walking and cycling routes to Blackhall Primary school.
One major improvement would be a pedestrian crossing outside the primary school. This would help the many children who need to cross Craigcrook Road at times when the crossing guard isn't present.
Local Lib Dem Malcolm Wood said, "I know this has been asked for in the past, and did not meet the criteria required.
“However, I would really hope that new consideration could be given as it would be reassuring for local parents, like me, to know that there was a safe way for children to cross Craigcrook Road at all times of the day.”
