Craigmount extension

18 Jun 2025

The Council is developing plans to extend Craigmount High School to meet growing demand for school places due to new housing developments at Maybury and Cammo.

The project will also improve and expand social spaces including the dining hall, toilets and circulation areas, while reconfiguring some existing facilities.

Early proposals suggest the new extension could be built on the grass field to the east of the school, following discussions with the school leadership team.

A public drop-in information session will be held at Craigmount High School on Tuesday 24 June from 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–20:00, where local residents, parents and pupils can find out more, ask questions, and share their views.

Further engagement will take place after the summer holidays, and regular updates will be shared through the school newsletter and Parent Council.
