Craigleith Drive Tunnel

Residents in the Blinkbonnys have been in touch regarding traffic calming in relation to Craigleith Drive Tunnel. A meeting was held with the Convener of the Council's Transport Committee, and they raised their concerns directly with him.

Local Lib Dem councillor Fiona Bennett said, "This has been causing concern for some time and residents report a number of worrying ‘near misses’.

"A recent speed assessment showed that the average speed on this section of road is too high and we are pushing for traffic calming measures to be installed at the location.

"The tunnel is shared by both pedestrians and drivers which increases the risk to safety.

 "We completely support the community in this and have repeatedly raised it with both the Council team and the police and are pushing for traffic calming measures to be installed."
