Council to launch consultation on proposed changes to on-street parking rules in Trinity and Newhaven

14 Jun 2021

The Council is proposing these areas become part of a ‘Priority Parking Area’ or PPA. This means that at certain times of the day, much of the on-street parking would be for residents only

There would be an annual permit charge to be able to park in these residents’ bays during controlled periods.

The consultation will cover the area north of Ferry Road between Granton Road to the west, Dudley Avenue and Hawthornvale to the east and Lindsey Road to the north.

The changes are intended to address existing parking pressures and potential displacement parking from recommended new Controlled Parking Zones in areas such as Fettes and Bonnington.

As your local Lib Dem team, we are keen to make sure that residents’ views are fully taken into account by the current administration. We want to encourage everyone to take part in this consultation once it is launched.
