Corstorphine Community Centre Granted Funding

We are delighted to be able to share the fabulous news that the Scottish Land Fund (SLF) has agreed to grant fund the Corstorphine Community Centre (CCC).

In April, the Council agreed to sell Westfield House in Kirk Loan to CCC for £1.1m; the SLF funding of £960,000 will help pay for the purchase so that it will be owned by CCC.

This permanent base will allow the building to be fully utilised for the Community and will enable improvements to be made.

This is a very exciting prospect – despite only using one floor currently, there are 20+ established groups using CCC and others are keen to use it.

As members of the Management Committee, local councillors Alan Beal and Euan Davidson are delighted to have been able to support CCC.

The area of benefit includes Roseburn and Murrayfield, not just Corstorphine. Congratulations to Sian, Shulah and the rest of the team that put the two bids together!
