Cole-Hamilton calls for investment in concrete youth work after summit

Alex called on the Scottish Government to invest more in youth work to tackle violence, antisocial behaviour, and knife crime.

Alex believes that the Scottish Government is failing young people, saying that:

“My experience as a youth worker taught me that no child is inherently bad. Most just need some direction.

“That’s why the First Minister should commit to a concrete investment in youth work. I will hold him to account to make sure his actions going forward match his warm words.

“Supporting young people must be a priority, not just one that crops up at times of public outcry.”
