Clermiston Park Playpark - September '26 Update

The Council's plans to deliver the long-awaited upgrade of the playpark in Clermiston Park over the summer have been delayed.

Working with the Friends of Clermiston Park, the Lib Dem team have been pressing the Council for action. 

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “There have been some rumours that the upgrade may be less than originally planned, but we’ve now had assurances that the Council is still planning to deliver what was promised. 

"I was able to question Council officers in committee about the delayed timescale and they confirmed that the plan remains to complete the upgrade this financial year. 

“Our priority now is keeping the pressure on the Council to get that done as soon as possible. The community has waited more than long enough for this - if the Council doesn't finish this quickly, the children who were playing in here when the Council started work on the designs, may soon be too old to use it!”
