Clermiston Crescent resurfaced!

1 Aug 2025

Two years ago, the Council resurfaced half of Clermiston Crescent - now they have finally completed the job!

In July 2023, the Council resurfaced half of the Crescent, but left the stretch at the bottom of the hill - which was in the worst condition.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, "At the time, residents were understandably confused and frustrated that only half of the Crescent had been done. To bring all the equipment there and then leave half the road seemed illogical.

"Since then, we've been pushing to include the lower half of the Crescent in the resurfacing programme, so that there wasn't this huge disparity between either end of the street.

“I'm glad this has finally been done this year, but the Council really should have done this two years ago. They should be getting repairs done properly, and completely, the first time round.”
