Civil Service Pensions Update

Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine has secured further action from Capita following concerns raised by constituents over delays and problems with their civil service pensions.

She met Capita for the second time and pressed for urgent progress on outstanding issues and brought some complex and distressing cases to a successful conclusion. Many constituents are facing financial hardship and uncertainty over pensions they have worked for throughout their working lives.

Christine has secured another meeting with Capita to review what action has been taken.

“It is unacceptable that people are having to fight to receive pensions they have worked and paid for throughout their lives, I have constituents experiencing extreme financial hardship, some are concerned that they can’t pay their mortgages or cover the cost of daily living. I intend to keep on top of Capita until the problems are resolved, my constituents deserve to receive the pensions they are entitled to, without facing any further delay, distress or hardship.”
