The well-used paths around East Craigs are much loved by residents, but are not always the most accessible.
Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “The path network is one of the things residents are most proud of about our area but at the moment, folk who are less able to get about on foot cannot enjoy it as much as others.
“Several residents have been in touch with me to ask about the possibility of getting benches put along the pathways, to give people the chance to sit and rest mid-walk, and just to be in this valuable green area.
“I have met with some residents about this, and we are now picking this up again with the Council to explore possibilities and funding.
“We’re also working to see much-needed improvements to the path surfaces.”
