Bin Hubs

Before, during and after the implementation of bin hubs, residents raised concern in relation to their location, safety and accessibility. Some constituents have encountered access challenges, especially those with disabilities. 

Local Lib Dem councillor Fiona Bennett said, "Many residents expressed concern that the consultation was inadequate, held at unsuitable times and poorly advertised resulting in a significant number of people unaware that a consultation was taking place at all.

"So, the Lib Dem team have called for a review of the consultation process, including what account has been taken of resident concerns, to be included in a report to be considered in May.

"In addition to this and in response to concerns raised by constituents the Liberal Democrats have highlighted the need to review issues such as their locations which at times have been in direct proximity to living spaces. We will continue to push for a solution."
