Anti-Social Behaviour on the Cycle Path Network

2 Aug 2023

A number of residents and Neighbourhood Watch Groups have expressed concern about anti-social behaviour in and around the cycle path network.

This issue is difficult to manage or control, since no one knows exactly when it is going to happen.

Local Lib Dem councillor Hal Osler said, “From speaking with residents, I know this is causing  a lot of stress.

“I have spoken to the community police, who have agreed to increase patrols in the area. They will also look into whether the Police bicycles could be in more frequent attendance.

“If you do witness anything, please do report it through 101, or 999 if its an emergency. This helps Police Scotland build a picture of what is going on and, if patterns are observed this would allow more resources to be allocated.”
