Alex responds to GP announcement

Responding to the Scottish Government’s announcement that they will allocate more money to GP surgeries over the next three years, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader and health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:
“The SNP cannot be trusted to help GPs.
“They have had 18 years to invest more in general practice but broken promises and staff shortages are all anyone has seen. They hired less than 1 in 10 of the GPs they promised in 2017.
“My party has repeatedly banged our drum about getting everyone seen by a GP in good time and we’ve got a realistic plan to do that. Next May, everyone can vote for that plan by backing Scottish Liberal Democrats on their second, peach-coloured regional ballot paper.”
