Action on Speeding Traffic

Councillor Ross calls for Action to tackle Speeding Traffic on local roads in the Braid Estate.

Following requests by Councillor Neil Ross, the Council carried out traffic speed surveys in April on Midmar Drive (26), Midmar Avenue (17), Midmar Gardens (23) and Hermitage Drive (26 & 23).  The average recorded speeds are shown in brackets. 

Councillor Ross commented, “These results highlight the need for speed reduction measures to improve road safety on Midmar Drive and Hermitage Drive.  There is a history of accidents at Midmar corner so I have asked the police to carry out regular speed checks on these roads and have also pushed the Council to take effective action.”
