A Bus to the Gyle Centre

The promised new bus link between Cramond and the Gyle Centre, via Maybury Road, has come one step closer after several operators showed interest in running the service.

Local Liberal Democrats have fought for years to get a new bus connection to the Gyle.

Over the winter, council officers sought interest from bus companies on operating this and other directly funded services across Edinburgh. A specific tender award for the Cramond-Gyle bus is now planned.

Local Lib Dem councillor Ed Thornley said, “With several operators interested in running the service, we hope to see the new route up and running in the next few months, providing vital links to the Gyle and Edinburgh Park.”
